Message from the Chair
Kathryn Grimm, Ph.D.
On behalf of the Department of Physics here at CSU East Bay, I am writing this welcome message for any prospective Physics major, current majors, students taking classes in Physics, or anyone with an interest in Physics. Here at CSU East Bay, we have dedicated faculty who do a remarkable job teaching physics, the most fundamental of sciences. Our department has an active research program, and all students are encouraged to participate in lab research.
Our department has a vibrant student community who study together and socialize, often in North Science 236. Everyone is welcome to our weekly Spitzer Seminar, Fridays at noon, usually in the Braddock Center room 280. We welcome you to our department and look forward to seeing you succeed in your future Physics endeavors!
