Support for Sexual and Interpersonal Violence

ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥'s Confidential Campus Advocate provides a safe, private space for anyone impacted by sexual or interpersonal violence. Whether the experience happened recently or years ago, on-campus or off, these services are free and available to all students, faculty, staff, and affiliates. 

The Advocate works with those impacted by all forms of interpersonal violence, including: 

  • Sexual Assault and Harassment  
  • Dating, Intimate Partner, and Family Violence 
  • Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking 
  • Non-consensual Image Abuse and Hazing 
  • Stalking  

Important Note: Seeking support from the Advocate does not require you to file a formal report with the University or the police.

For Teaching Faculty  

The Advocate is available for consultations on how to support your students and welcomes invitations to visit as a guest speaker.  

If you would like to include information about Advocate services in your syllabus, or on Blackboard or Canvas, here is suggested language: 

ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥'s Confidential Campus Advocate provides private support for students, staff, and faculty impacted by sexual assault, harassment, stalking, and domestic violence. The Advocate is a confidential resource who can help you understand your options, accompany you to meetings, hearings, or medical exams, and help secure campus accommodations when needed. You do not need to report an incident to receive these services.
