Eve Marie Little
Eve Marie Little brings more than 15 years of professional experience in the Hospitality and Recreation industries, coupled with a strong commitment to higher education and student development. Prior to joining the Hospitality Management faculty, she served as an instructor at Kookmin University in Seoul, South Korea, and at the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston.
Before relocating to California, Ms. Little held the position of Executive Director for the Texas Dragon Boat Association, where she directed large-scale cultural festivals and competitive sporting events. She also managed special events and international relations for the Consulate of Ghana in Houston, Texas. In addition, she has contributed to the international tourism sectors in Peru and Thailand, gaining valuable cross-cultural and international management experience.
Her professional background includes work with the NASA Johnson Space Center Conference Center and Landry’s Signature Downtown Aquarium, as well as event planning for several diplomatic officials in the Houston area. These roles have provided her with a diverse foundation in hospitality operations, event design, and international guest relations.
Ms. Little’s academic and professional interests encompass Event and Festival Planning, Tournament Organization, International and Sustainable Tourism, Catering Management, Rites of Passage Tourism (with a specific focus on the funeral industry), and the integration of Spanish within hospitality contexts. She also teaches hospitality courses at Mission College and Elmwood Correctional Facility.
